I personally use Logic Pro X for now, because of its more user friendly interface, but I am also interesting in what DAW to use if you don’t have a Mac. I have tried Ableton, i have to spend more time on it to be comfortable with it’s workings.
I use Logic Pro X. But, thats only available on apple so if you have one that’s good. Normally, I don’t like to tell people which DAW to get because its all personal preference and they all have their pros and cons
You cant go wrong with Logic, FL Studio, Ableton or Pro Tools. They’re all industry standard but you don’t need them to be good. Some people can do a lot with just the free ones like Audacity tbh. Especially in the beginning
I know FL studio and ableton have free versions you can use to try them out. You wont have ALL the features but you’ll be able to see how the daw works which is good. The free version of logic comes as its own different app called GarageBand which is basically the same thing with less features
Ableton can be really fun when you perform live and you don’t necessarily have a band with you.
