Ive been struggling on deciding wether i should get a telecaster or stratocaster type guitar and i was wondering which would be the best for a begginer. P.s (the type of strat i would get would be a HSS Strat)

As Jimmy said, get down to a store and play them both and get the sales guys to give you a demo too.
Think about the styles of songs you’ll be learning and wanting to grow towards too and let them know that.
