Does household insurance cover my equipment when travelling to gigs?

If you can afford it, get some separate insurance for this purpose. Losing your beloved and possibly expensive gear and finding out that you’re not covered ain’t nice!

That would be down to your policy. It is definitely worth getting music specific insurance if playing out at gigs. Keep hearing tragic stories of bands vans being broken into so you want an insurance that is specific for that.
