My thick IKEA rug that I’ve used over 25 years for my drums to sit on for gigs and rehearsals has finally given up the ghost (well got damaged in the van).
it has been great but before I go and get a similar replacement, anyone got a better live full kit mat method they’d recommend?

Unless you’re going to get into floating platforms (which will be less portable for live shows), sounds like your rug did the trick… for a long time.
